My name is Ammie and I am from Thailand. I have moved to Malaysia since 2007 after marrying my lovely sweety husband ," Pinky Winky ". When I was here, I tried many local Thai restaurants but unable to get the same taste as the dishes back home in Thailand. Therefore I started learning to cook because I really miss the taste of authentic Thai cooking. Before this I was hopeless and do not know how to cook, whatmore cook for myself or anyone else. My aunt start giving me recipe and guide me how to cook it. She taught me over the phone and even send me her very own handwritten recipe.
After awhile, I was quite use to cooking and find it like an art. Every ingredient will give you a different kind of taste, how you mix it will result in different kind of feeling when it goes into your mouth and play with your taste bud. I love to garnish my food and make it look presentable before serving to my guest.
Therefore, I would like to share with you the authentic and home cooked Thai food so that everyone will get to enjoy it. All the recipe has been cooked by me and rest assure it will turn out delicious, if not I dare not post it here...
The recipes are very easy to learn, and everybody can do it. I will try to explain it step by step and hope you can follow it. I will also try to add in some Thai language lesson, to even give you a more Thai feel :)
The ingredients in the recipes are easily available in the local major supermarket if not, you can be like me, grow my own garden, from all kind of herbs to vegetable. And the most important ingredient in every Thai recipe, is your heart. If you put your heart into it, I am sure you are able to cook a very delicious dish.
